Brief. A platform solution to targeting and talent pool management In order to be truly reflective of the society it serves, the National Police Force of the Netherlands wanted to be proportionately representative of the people they were serving. The problem was that their talent pipeline was heavily over-subscribed in certain demographics, and critically under-represented in others. And for some of the most under-subscribed cultural demographics, the idea of even being a Police officer was not something that they had ever considered.

They needed a precise way to target passive candidates from highly specific backgrounds and cultural demographics. Once they’d found them, they had to be able to build a meaningful relationship with them so that ultimately they may become active applicants. So they also needed a way to publish highly customised content in order to make the dialogue as relevant and engaging as possible.

To complicate matters further, as a public service they were liable to unpredictable hiring fluctuations, so they also needed a way to engage talent and keep them warm if there was a hiring freeze on. And once the freeze was lifted, they had to be able to expand to meet demand.

Solution. The solution was the design, development and build of a bespoke Talent Relationship Management (TRM) system. Sponsored content was published on social channels directing people to the front-end portal of the system. Once there, a user could sign-in via email or social profile and create an account, which allowed them to receive tailored content through the channel of their choice, based on the information that they had provided.
