This fall, DCTA will launch Where’s My Ride – a vehicle tracking tool that will provide real-time travel information to passengers, allowing them to obtain predictive arrival information for a Connect bus or A-train at a particular stop location via phone, online and mobile devices. So, how does it work? Where’s My Ride will use accurate location data provided by a Global Positioning Device mounted inside each DCTA Connect bus and A-train railcar. The new Mean Green Game Day Shuttle will provide easy travel to and from North Texas games with no worries about traffic and parking hassles. Leave your car at home this football season for a unique game day experience in Denton! It’s simple to ride the new Mean Green Game Day Shuttle. Passengers hop on the A-train, arrive at the Eulene Brock Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC) and board the free Mean Green Game Day Shuttle from the DDTC, to the Mean Green Tailgating Village and pedestrian bridge that leads to Apogee Stadium. The buses will also stop at locations along the Downtown Denton Square so passengers can take a break for dining, drinks and shopping before or after football games. Next StopDenton’s 15th Annual Arts, Antiques & Autos ExtravaganzaThis festival, hosted by the Denton Main Street Association, is a classic car, truck and motorcycle show with live music, fine arts, children activities and games, food and shopping. Event attendees will also get to see antique and classic cars up close, most of which have been restored and preserved. The free event will be held on Saturday, September 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Hickory Street right outside the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square. No DCTA Service for Labor DayIn observance of the Labor Day holiday, DCTA will not operate any bus or rail service Monday, September 1. The operations, customer service and administrative offices will also be closed. Regular operational hours will resume Tuesday, September 2. Denton’s Day of the Dead FestivalDenton’s Day of the Dead Festival will be held on Saturday, October 25 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The free event captures the very essence of Denton’s artistic spirit – paying homage to many of fall’s treasures such as cooler weather, the harvest, the celebration of Dia de los Muertos, and all things Halloween. Event attendees can enjoy trunk or treating and their very own “Pumpkin Patch,” salsa cook-off, music and entertainment, Denton’s original Halloween Cabaret “Cirque du Horror,” coffin races and a lantern-lit twilight parade! Lewisville’s 7th Annual Spooktacular Trails and Glow 5K Extravaganza

Join the City of Lewisville for their annual Spooktacular Trails and Glow 5K Extravaganza! The free event will feature a ghostly hayride, haunted maze, trick-or-treating trail, and other festive activities. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 25 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Toyota of Lewisville Railroad Park. Hop on DCTA’s A-train, which will connect you to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Green Line for a straight shot to Fair Park.
