A local charity that changes the lives of adults with disabilities

We are sad to be saying farewell to Sharon Lander at the end of February. Sharon joined us two years ago to replace Jenny during her maternity leave, and has stayed on for extra months. She has worked very hard and effectively to support our members and recruit volunteers across the southern half of Bucks - in Chiltern, S Bucks and Wycombe districts; we have helped 70 new members and gained 30 new volunteers in those districts while Sharon has been with us. Sharon also arranged lunch-es and pub evenings for members, and took part in various trips - here she is with members at Bletchley Park last summer. We shall miss her and wish her

well as she spends some time doing up her new home. Sharon’s post was funded by grants from Bucks County Council and from Chiltern and S Bucks District Councils.

Thank you and all good wishes to Sharon...

We are delighted to have two runners participating in

this year’s London Marathon. Caroline Ford has a place

secured by Enrych and is raising funds both for Bucks/

MK and for Enrych centrally. She started running six years ago, only intend-

ing to run 5k, but was inspired by other members at Lakeside Running in Mil-

ton Keynes, and first ran the London Marathon in 2015. Jamie Cosher has

been running for some time and thinks this may be his last London Mara-

thon, he’s raising funds for our work in MK. You can support Caroline at:

enrych Or you can give a donation to one of the co-

ordinators - every little helps! Beth is a member of the

same running club: Milton Keynes Lakeside Runners, that’s

relaxation from her hard work establishing an Enrych presence in MK.

Trips out, Aylesbury Anne would love to visit local towns to look around the

shops and have a coffee. Anne has reduced mobility and would like someone to

go out with her to provide a helping hand, she is a lovely chatty lady who would

really enjoy your time and support.

Outings with John, Longwick John is recovering from brain injury and could do

with support to get out for a pub lunch now and again. A drink in a pub or a

walk around Longwick and a chat would cheer him up immensely.

Could you buddy Mandy? South East MK Mandy is a friendly, outgoing lady who

is looking for someone to spend time doing arts and crafts or going on coffee

outings with, would you like to join her?

Spending our

Time Credits

The lovely people who

volunteer with Enrych

in partnerships, running

events, or as trustees -

have been accumu-

lating Time Credits over

the last three years,

and sharing them with

us for the use of our

members. We have

quite a pile of them

available to spend.

Last month we used

them to visit Halton

House, and to attend

the Purple Zeppelin

concert at Queens

Park. In February there

is chance to visit Halton

Museum, and in March

to see ‘Mrs Christie’; ask

if you’re interested. You

could also use them to

pay for gym and swim

sessions in Wycombe

and South Bucks.
