• The resume and cover letter is a representation of YOU, the applicant and it is considered a marketing tool.

• As a Job seeker you need to make the best first impression.

• Functional – List skills, experience and abilities obtained through previous work or life experiences first -- then work history. (Perfect for students just entering the job market.)

• Chronological – List companies and dates of employment (in reverse order) and is ideal for a person who has skills obtained over several employers
