ENTREPRENEURSHIP (minor) FAST FACTS • Entrepreneurship is Hiram’s second most popular minor. • College students run an on-campus store called “Terrier Trader” that sells products for students and by students. • Hiram is part of the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium (EEC) – a network of 11 Northeast Ohio colleges and universities dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship education. THE CENTER FOR INTEGRATED ENTREPRENEURSHIP This Center of Distinction provides students with a number of opportunities, including: Fireside Chats – weekly informal discussions with entrepreneurs from various industries Idea Competitions – three annual competitions give students an opportunity to win cash prizes by conceptualizing and pitching business and social enterprise ideas Interdisciplinary Classes • “Sports and Entrepreneurship” • “The Ethics of Making Money” • “The Musician as an Entrepreneur” • “The Psychology of Creativity” (over)
