Entry  13-­‐  Fashion  Don’ts    

Fashion  DON’T  #  1  –  No  need  to  get  overly  matchy-­‐matchy  with  your  outfit.  When  you’re  wearing  big,  bold,  brightly  colored,  matching  pieces  the  eyes  don’t  really  know  where  to  focus.  First  I’m  drawn  to  the  belt,  then  to  the  headband,  all  while  I  notice  those  leggings  in  my  peripherals.  Once  my  eyes  move  to  the  leggings,  I  notice  that  big  blue  bangle.  It’s  better  to  chose  subtle  accents  that  accentuate  an  outfit,  or  one  main  focus  point.                            Fashion  DON’T  #  2  –  Don’t  wear  see  through  leggings  as  pants.  Wearing  leggings  as  pants  is  no  longer  as  “taboo”  as  it  used  to  be,  but  if  you’re  planning  on  sporting  this  look  make  sure  they  aren’t  see  through.  It  isn’t  flattering,  and  even  if  you  have  the  perfect  body,  it  just  is  not  appropriate.  It  is  unnecessary  to  have  to  see  undergarments  through  someone’s  pants...  or  lack  there  of.                      

       

 Fashion  DON’T  #  3  –  Don’t  wear  underwear  as  outerwear.  As  mentioned  in  the  previous  DON’T,  it’s  inappropriate.  Leave  a  little  to  the  imagination.  Young  children  don’t  need  to  see  it,  and  adults  don’t  want  to.                        

   Fashion  DON’T  #  4  –  Don’t  wear  pajamas  in  public.  This  is  just  lazy  and  makes  you  look  homeless.  There  are  other  ways  to  be  comfortable  while  still  looking  put  together.
