HofgartenSolingen
The Hofgarten Solingen opened in 2013.
On three levels and approximately 29,000
m2 of GLA, many attractive international,
national and local retailers offer tailored
and modern shopping, service and leisure
facilities for 270,000 residents in the
catchment area.
Solingen has been known for its blade
making prowess for centuries and was
given the title “The City of Blades”. This
branch of industry as well as nature are
the main inspiration for the environmental
graphic design.

Alexa Centre
The Alexa Centre in Berlin opened back in
2007 and the mall management requested
a new and updated signage and wayfinding.
Gold-coloured canopies, sand arches,
tasteful ornaments and wall decorations
– the art deco design of the Alexa reminds
of the 1920’s, the glittering decade when
Alexanderplatz celebrated its heyday.
The Alexa with its 56,000 m2 of sales floors
is not only one of the largest shopping
centres in Berlin, but also offers visitors
a mixture of shopping, entertainment and
relaxation.

Loop 5
The themed environment at Loop 5 is
‘Aviation’, due to the shopping centre’s
proximity to Frankfurt Airport and the
European Space Operations Centre in
Darmstadt.
The history of air travel from the beginning
to the jet age is set out along the mall.
Propellers, wings, rudders and rotors
in the graphic design of the banisters,
floor surfaces and ceilings characterize
the interior design of the new shopping
destination.

Al Khiran
The multi-million dollar Al Khiran
development will be at the heart of the
Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City. Valued at US$
700 million, the resort-style project which
will be spread across 350.000 m2 of water-
front will eventually create significant
opportunities for Kuwait’s tourism and
business growth.
It will include Kuwait’s first high-end
Outlet Mall, two high-rise residential
towers, one furnished apartments tower,
a marina to house over 900 boats – the
biggest in Kuwait – and a 5-star resort style
hotel with an international spa component.

The Souk atThe AvenuesRiyadh
The Avenues Riyadh embodies the success
of The Avenues in Kuwait, with its districts
and unique design, making it the best
destination for shopping, entertainment
and even residing in Saudi Arabia.
The project’s leasable area is 400,000 m2
and will be one of the largest commercial
malls in the Middle East which will include
a souk.

Yaroslavka Shopping Center
Yaroslavka Shopping Center is conveniently
located in Yaroslavka near Moscow. It
offers 230,000 m2 of GBA, 88,000 m2 of
GLA and 3,500 parking lots.
The project accommodates more than
200 retailers and serves a trade area
population of approximately 1.5 million
residents. A friendly, warm and family-
oriented atmosphere has become the place
of attraction for youngsters and families.
Yaroslavka Shopping Center’s planned
footfall exceeds 50,000 visitors per day.

Vieira de Almeida Headquarters
VdA built a new 13.000 m2 headquarters
facility. This project is a great example of
old meets new architecture aiming to
both retain the past and move towards
the future.
The signage design responds to the
distinctive architectural style of the
building and its interiors, providing
effective wayfinding assistance, and
underlining VdA identity and brand.

Microsoft moved in 2012 into a new 4 floor,
68,000 square foot flexible office facility in
Lisbon’s Parque das Naçōes.
An extensive interior refurbishment by
Openbook is taking place in an effort
to increase collaboration and improve
workflow, team relationships, productivity,
and efficiency.

Masdar City
It is designed to be the world’s most
sustainable eco-city and relies entirely
on renewable energy. Masdar City
keeps growing and continues to add new
businesses, schools, restaurants and
apartments creating the diversity of any
major, modern city.
The lack of site signage at the Podium
was causing confusion and frustration.
The objective for the new signage and
wayfinding consisted in directing people
to their destination in a seamless and pain-
free way.

Vida Hotel & Dubai Marina Yacht Club
As its name suggests, Vida, meaning ‘life’ in
Spanish, embraces warmth, simplicity and
youthful vitality. Vida Hotels and Resorts

generation of entrepreneurs and business
travellers.
Emaar is developing a new Vida Hotel that
will also feature a world-class yacht club.

The northernmost emirate of the UAE,
Ras Al Khaimah enjoys a more tranquil
rhythm, yet is only 45 minutes from Dubai.
Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah
Resort offers overwater luxury on the
Arabian Gulf in a pristine eco-sanctuary.
Part of the new Mina Al Arab luxury
development, a beachfront playground with
a marina, waterfront cafes and boutiques,
the resort offers 300 guest suites and
overwater villas in Maldivian resort style.

Lapita Hotel
The 503-key Lapita Hotel, which is a
Polynesian-themed family property, will
become part of the Autograph Collection,
marking the Middle East debut for the
independent luxury hotels collection.
It is a key component of Dubai Parks and
Resorts in the Jebel Ali area of Dubai
and opened in December 2016 as part of
the first phase of the project, which also
features Legoland Dubai, Motiongate
Dubai and Bollywood Parks Dubai. Dubai
Parks and Resorts LLC, a Meraas Holding
company, developed the project.

Dubai Creek Harbour is a vast development
along the waterfront and its main landmark
will be the observation tower designed by
Santiago Calatrava.
Harbour Views will be located on the

Downtown Dubai skyline.

Riverland
Dubai Parks and Resorts is the Middle
East’s largest multi-themed leisure and
entertainment destination.
Riverland is at the heart of the project and
has been inspired by pedestrian friendly
public spaces across the globe – that
combine amusement and attractions with
retail and dining experiences. Visitors are
able to travel through time and experience
the streetmosphere that takes you on
a journey through 4 different eras: a
French village from the 1600’s, the Paris
Universal Exposition of 1889, the Colonial
architecture of the 1930’s, and America of
the 1950’s.

Boy Scouts of America / Summit Bechtel Reserve
The Summit Bechtel Reserve, located
in West Virginia, is one of four facilities
managed by the National Council of
the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). The
Summit Bechtel Reserve is the home of
the National Scout Jamboree. The reserve
comprises properties totaling over 14.000
acres (57 km2).
A directory map was requested for the
opening event – the 2013 National Scout
Jamboree.

San Diego State University / Aztec Student Union
In Fall 2013, Aztec Student Union opened
its doors to the San Diego State University
community as the new “campus living
room”. As a hub for studying, socializing,
connecting, relaxing, eating and learning,
students enjoy many amenities in a state-
of-the-art LEED platinum certified building.

Mukul / Beach, Golf & Spa Resort
Mukul is a luxury boutique hotel located in
Guacalito de la Isla, on Nicaragua’s Emerald
Coast. It is a $250-million, 1,670 acre
private beach community.
It has 37 accommodations, each with an
ocean view, pool and private staff. Other
resort amenities include a spa, a beach club,
a swimming pool and a golf course designed
by David McLay Kidd.

The Emeryville Public Market offers over
20 unique food retailers representing the
diversity of San Francisco Bay Area. The
food court underwent major renovations

Centro Colombo Expansion
Sonae Sierra is building another office
tower over the Centro Colombo in Lisbon
and expanding the shopping mall in an
additional 17,000 m2 of gross leasable area.
This expansion will include a new F&B
concept – called The Cooking Block –
that required branding services. We
transformed the architectural plan into
a beautiful and memorable logo that is
based on simple diagrammatic shapes and
conveys the existence of 5 distinct areas.

NorteShopping Expansion
The NorteShopping expansion will add
15,000 m2 to the existing 54,618 m2 of GLA,
representing an investment of €72 million.
In the expanded area, leisure and
entertainment options will be reinforced,
with a total reconfiguration of the food
court. The new F&B concept – called Norte
Kitchen –will be in line with the latest
gourmet trends inspired by traditional
street food markets and required branding
services.

The perfect gathering place for friends and
family, The Village at Meridian features
upscale apparel and specialty retail, fine
