What is the purpose of the EPA?

The Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) is a U.S Federal government agency that was established for protecting human health and the environment by writing and enforcing regulations based on laws passed by Congress.

interest was to protect the health of the people in Nevada. Cyanide, lead and mercury that were used at these mine posed a health threat.
