Monitored four collaborative applications to generate revenue for Partners, ensuring proper systems
functionality. Worked intimately with Analysts in IT dept. on implementation of Soarian project.
Diagnosed and corrected systems or process issues or forwarded to somebody, either internally or on
vendor side, who would be able to resolve the issue. Acted as liaison between Patient Accounting,
Chargemaster, Revenue Operations, and other departments and the Partners IS department.
Oversaw workflow development, business requirement definition, functional specification
development, and execution. Participated in, and contributed to, inter-departmental meetings to
gather requirements and determine needs and specs for implementation of XClaim and Harvest.
Administered XClaim software for 400+ Partners users and managers.
Maintained, updated, and changed login IDs, passwords, and permissions and ensured uninterrupted
access to software.

Led bi-weekly conference calls with XClaim vendor to describe, explain, and analyze any issues occurring
with software that needed resolution by the vendor; decreasing average number of issues by 20% over 8-

taught her how to navigate all systems used by department, exceeding manager’s expectations.
Inventoried 450+ computers with varying operating systems, allowing for timely submission of annual
budget to standardize systems.
CHARGEMASTER ANALYST 2003-2009 Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Boston, MA
Initiated and implemented all chargemaster and charge process changes by leading and/or
participating in over 100 projects, utilizing all steps involved in a SDLC. This consisted of first meeting
with each department to gather their needs and requirements. Then analyzing their appropriateness,
and creating and implementing charge codes after proper analysis until and post go-live. Participated
in Eclipsys implementation before project was abandoned. Conducted post-implementation audits of
new codes to verify that expected charge amount and volume had been processed. Worked with
cost centers and Ambulatory Education to ensure that charge capture systems were updated to allow
for accurate capture of charges. Performed quarterly, annual, and ad hoc database maintenance
based on addition, modification, and deletion of CPT/HCPCS codes by third party payers. Proactively
monitored coverage guidelines and program transmittals.
Conducted and participated in meetings with managers, directors, and vice presidents to determine new
charges needed. Studied and corrected issues with over 20,000 existing charges in cost centers.
Corrected daily patients’ accounts, assuring proper coding and billing of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Corrected incomplete accounts that lacked required insurance, provider, and other information.
Corrected denials from payers to facilitate rebilling and payment.
Recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars by rectifying issues concerning NPIs improperly entered into
the system and/or not properly passing to claims.
Trained incoming Chargemaster Analyst in systems and SOPs used by department and BIDMC in a matter
of a few weeks to the point of her being self-sufficient .
