Health and Safety Precautions:

Before using, refer to Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Ensure the same safe working methods are followed for all persons in the work area Wear suitable protective clothing, butyl rubber or nitrile gloves and safety goggles with side shields during mixing and application Respiratory masks should be worn at all times when adequate ventilation does not exist. A NIOSH/MSHA (TC-23C-1809), multi gas vapor respirator is acceptable. Observe OSHA regulations for respirator use (29 CFR 1910.134). Avoid direct contact with skin or eyes Uncured epoxies are corrosive, toxic or both. They may cause allergic reactions or hypersensitivity reactions Contact with skin – wash immediately with soap and water Contact with eyes – rinse immediately with lots of water and seek medical attention

Storage: In original, unopened containers between 55°F and 95°F Lower temperatures may cause crystallization in resin Storing the material at a higher temperature may reduce its shelf life Under dry, ventilated conditions and out of direct sunlight. Keep in an upright position and do not over stack

Shelf Life: Two years in unopened containers stored between 55°F and 95°F

Site Conditions: Surface Preparation:

All surfaces should be prepared as per the approved TQ3 specification The surface temperature must at least 6°F above the dew point and rising. Use a surface dew point meter

Air and substrate temperatures must be between 50°F and 90°F

All termination points should not be feather edged, but should be saw cut with the termination ending at the saw cut to prevent applications below 1/8” thickness.

If there are any doubts about the suitability of a substrate, further advice should be sought from a TQ3 representative and a

small trial area applied and tested appropriately

EP PATCH REPAIR MORTAR TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

Product Mixing:

EP Patch Repair Mortar kits are pre-measured. Mix all of liquid, Part A (Resin) with all of Part B (Hardener) The EP Patch Repair Binder must be thoroughly mixed, using an electric, slow speed (300-400rpm), high torque, ¾”drill It is preferable to use dual paddles 1/ Dispense Part A into a separate, clean, dry, oversized mixing pail, taking care not to hit the sides 2/ Add Part B, taking care not to hit the sides, and mix for 2 minutes 3/ Use mixed resin to prime area 4/ Add the Filler and mix as long as takes to thoroughly wet, minimum 2 minutes Scrape out all of the material from the mixing pail Do not mix new material with old, uncured material as this can significantly reduce work times. Use new pails frequently Decant newly mixed material into smaller containers or onto substrate and spread to prolong working time

Pot Life @ 68°F: 30-60 minutes The working time of EP Patch Repair Mortar will be influenced by the length of time it is mixed (longer mixing results in shorter pot life), the substrate and ambient temperatures and how quickly it is removed from the mixing pail and spread on the substrate

Product Application: Recommended Thickness: Coverage:

Concrete must be sound, clean, dry and free of laitance. CSP 5-7 If concrete is damp, it must be sealed with GC Primer All cracks over 1/16” wide should be routed out to a 1/4” width and 1/4” depth prior to application of the mortar Prime the substrate with the mixed resin before EP Patch Repair Mortar application Mortar can be applied on wet primer. It must be applied onto the primed surface within 24 hours maximum After EP Patch Repair Mortar has been mixed, it is applied to the primed concrete by screed or rake Finish by trowel, using sufficient downward force to compact properly (no open voids) All Mortar MUST be primed with ST Primer and sand before any TQ3 coating is applied over Apply at 1/8” to 2” thicknesses

1 Kit (28.6lbs) = 8sf @ 1/4”

Re-coat and Traffic Times @ 68°F:

Minimum 8 hours, Maximum 48 hours. Colder temperatures will increase these times greatly Foot traffic 14-16 hours, Heavy traffic 2-7 days Grind off all high spots before over coating

Product Restrictions and Limitations:

Minimum application thickness = 1/8”, Maximum 2” For use on horizontal surfaces All Mortar MUST be primed with ST Primer and sand before any TQ3 coating is applied over

Clean-up and Disposal:

Follow all Health and Safety instructions on MSDS Wash body with soap and water Clean tools and equipment with Acetone or MEK while resin is still wet or tacky Ensure all material is mixed and cured before disposal, in accordance with federal, state and local regulations Dispose of all packaging in accordance with federal, state and local regulations
