Ephesians' church Brought together under Paul, Apollos, Aquila and Priscilla,
Timothy and many others Grew mature in spirit under Paul’s three year stay. They were spiritually passionate in their early years The started to adopt the teachings of their culture into church
life and spirituality in their middle years They had lost their “first love” in their latter years
We are studying Ephesians in three parts: Position in Christ – who we are in Jesus Christ. Practice with Christ – reflecting our faith in the everyday world Conquering through Christ – confrontation in the spiritual realm

Who was he before his conversion? He was a Jew – raised in Tarsus now a part of present

After his conversion He was a missionary – to several parts of Asia He was zealous in this faith and devotion to Jesus Christ He was an apologist – reasoning and explaining the word
of God He was gifted by the Holy Spirit in many ways
God sometimes uses your past to be a path to ministry in your future.

Paul the Apostle An apostle – in the most general sense of the term – is
one who has been called by God and sent by God. It is one who is called and sent by God directly – not men
There are many in the bible that could have the gift of an apostle
It is NOT a position in the church – it is a gift – as are the other Gifts in Ephesians 4
Notice the list of gifts it takes to bring a church to maturity – not just one gift in the church.

Saints and faithful people.
What or who are saints? Are you a saint or are you a sinner?
What are the characteristics of a saint? sacred, holy, or dedicated, pure or blameless
Do you measure up to those characteristics? Why or Why not?
If you think and believe you are a Saint, you will live like one – making your very best efforts
