EPSA Mechanical has been involved in some of Australia’s most iconic and complex construction projects and has successfully managed erection activities including tower cranes, permanent and temporary gantries, structural steel facilities, precast buildings and tanks.

Any complex assembly, whether it be modular or onsite ‘stick building’ is an activity which starts well before mobilisation. Careful planning to determine environmental controls, crane suitability, operational parameters, bridge and gantry classification, piece counts, tons per week, lifts per hour and skill sets required are a minimum prerequisite for a smooth and efficient erection. Quality control and assurance are a pivotal function of our service verifying that prior to equipment and materials arriving at site they meet project design and Australian standards.

Having partnered with some of Australia’s leading crane, gantry and structural steel providers, we have delivered a complete service to clients no matter how complex their requirements. We have core personnel with extensive rigging, operating, supervising and quality assurance experience for both onshore and offshore facilities.

Offering our services as an integrated solution enables complex projects to be managed and completed by a single service provider, avoiding the complications of multiple parties and interface points, leading to a smooth, seamless delivery.

OUR CAPABILITIES INCLUDE

• A core team of supervisors, riggers and operators working under AS2550.3-2005

• Supply of mobile cranes, elevated work platforms (EWP’s), general equipment, spreader beams, special rigging equipment

• Studies to determine optimal positioning of cranes for gantry and structural steel erection

• Determining construction parameters and providing alternatives through buildability studies, reviewing design, analysing access constraints

• Developing complex erection plans, lifting sequences and special gear requirements

• Boom interference studies, with reference projects having up to 74 booms onsite concurrently

• Scope quantifying including durations, man hours, piece counts, tons per week, lifts per hour

• Materials handling offsite and onsite ensuring minimal site laydown requirements. Pre delivery inspections provided to ensure compliance

• Upfront construction safety workshops, methodologies and risk assessments.

• Complete erection and operability verification
