influence on perceptions of beauty. Evidence: Most importantly, Erica Jin explained her

experiences teaching in a school in South Korea and she said , “A colleague explained that many of the tenth grade girls got "sang-ka-puhl-soosuhl" or plastic surgery, during the school's summer break. In Gangnam, I learned, this was a rite of passage. Most girls elected for double-eyelid surgery, which made the eyes bigger and more “Western.”
