Fun Facts on Dressage:

• Above a 65% on a test is considered good.• During the test, the rider is not supposed to

speak to the horse.• Germany is the world leader on Dressage.• There are 3 tests for each level. (Test A,B,C).• You may not wear a double bridle until you

compete in Medium 3 (A type of dressage class).

• The object of the endurance test is to prove the speed, endurance and jumping ability of your horse.

• The cross-country course is approximately four miles.

• If you fall off your horse, you are eliminated.• Your horse can refuse up to three times,

before you become eliminated.

• Also known as "stadium jumping”.• Most show jumpers are tall horses, over 16

hands.• The jumps become harder depending on the

level of the class.• Is a relatively new equestrian sport.• If a horse touches the fence, and the pole is

not knocked over, there is no fault.
