EQ CUN CHART (see next page) • Width of 16th rib at the costochondral junction = 1 cun • Umbilicus to the pubis = 5 cun • Hip (top of greater trochanter) to center of stifle = 19 cun • Laterally, center of stifle to center of hock = 16 cun • Medially, center of stifle to center of hock = 13 cun • Scapula, at its widest part, from cranial to caudal edge = 3 cun • Shoulder (greater tubercle) to elbow = 9 cun • Elbow crease to center of carpus = 12 cun • Head midline from back of skull to just cranial to eyes = 12 cun • From the most medial aspect of the medial styloid process dorsally to a point level with the middle of the chestnut (Eq) = 2 cun.

• the most medial aspect of the styloid process is at the carpal crease • PC 6 is 2 cun above this crease • PC 6 is place just dorsal (in front) to the midpoint of the chestnut • thus, it is 2 cun from the most medial aspect of the styloid process to PC 6.
