Equipping God’s PeopleOver the past several months we have been featuring first-person articles from Christian leaders who are impacting the United Kingdom through the programming they air on TBN UK. This month‘s piece is from Alan Scotland, part of the leadership team at New Life Church in Rugby, and founder of Global Horizons. Pastor Scotland‘s weekly program, Demystifying the Kingdom of God, airs on TBN UK Tuesdays at 11:30 p.m. (repeated Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. and Sundays at 6:30 a.m.).

Dear TBN family, what a great privilege it is to connect with our dear friends and partners across the United Kingdom and beyond through today‘s advanced technology — and especially through the television outreach of TBN UK! We have been blessed indeed to work with the dedicated team at TBN UK, who are so devoted in using their skills to assist in the proclaiming of the Gospel to this generation.

My wife, Betty, and I are currently based in Rugby as part of the leadership team at New Life Church. We work under the banner of Global Horizons and Lifelink USA to take the Gospel of Jesus to the nations.

Betty and I were called into the ministry of the Gospel over 46 years ago, and were trained in the Rees Howells Bible

College, where we gained a love for God‘s Word and for the enablement of His Holy Spirit.

More than ever before we are being gripped with the profound reality of God’s kingdom agenda in the earth today. We continue to help in pastoring pastors, equipping the body of Christ, and planting churches across the earth. Currently we are working with teams in the training of leaders, churches, and people throughout the UK, India, China, Mongolia, Africa, the U.S., the Middle East and Far East, and on the continent of Europe. Through our modular teaching courses and conferences we have been busy preparing the church of Christ to thrive in these challenging times.

For over 40 years we have worked with colleges and churches throughout these nations, partnering with apostolic and leadership teams as they train believers in the Word of God and help them grow in their fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

We are truly excited to be able to connect with you through Demystifying the Kingdom of God, our weekly program airing on TBN UK. The message we love to bring is that the kingdom of God is extended always and only through the passion of Jesus Christ. Each week we hear back from so many who have been uplifted, impacted, and deeply blessed through the ministry of this programme. One such person is Harold — at 101 certainly one of the the oldest of our TBN UK viewers. Nonetheless, Harold is still actively engaged in witnessing for the Lord to this day. He recently took the time to write and express just how important it is for him to be able to receive the teaching of God‘s Word on a regular basis, and how blessed he is to be able to tune in to TBN UK and receive encouragement.

Like Harold and countless others, Betty and I are also grateful for TBN UK and the message of hope and grace through Jesus that this network airs around the clock. We are especially thankful for the platform TBN UK provides for us to communicate the Gospel into every home across the United Kingdom and to other parts of the world.

In short, we simply cannot thank you enough for your continued support that makes this possible. May God richly bless you for your faithfulness to His kingdom work.
