1 . The 40lst Group furnished twenty one (21) aircraft , including three spares , for the low box ot the 94th Combat ing tonnation. Takeoff and ass bly were a briefed. For the route in, bombing, and route out aee the Box Leader ' s narrative and the avigator ' a log .

2. Five (6) ships returned early • . One was a spare and four were abortivea. Two were due to chanical failure and two wer due to per­sonnel failure . On apare till d in and sixteen ships comprised the ttacking for.ce .

5 o Ene action consisted ot intense, accurate flak over th target . o a tacks by en my aircraft were reported. On ship, hit by flak, cont­

inued on under control and is believed to have headed for neutral terri­tory.
