July 28-30, 2014 Copper Mountain, Colorado Happy Easter! Whether you are a long-time member or a first time guest, we feel you will be blessed by our services today. We’re begin- ning a brand new series, called Resurrected Place , in which we will study what the Bible has to say about heaven, the resurrection of God’s people, and what happens when we die. Some of the ques- tions we will consider are: What will this resurrected place look like? Where will it be? What will we look like? Will we see loved ones when we get there? Will we remain conscious after death? What will we do? Will it be a never-ending church service? Will I remember things from the previous life? As we study these questions, it will become clear that the resurrected life not only gives us hope for the future, but also pur- pose for the present. Today as we begin the series, we will look at the original res- urrected place: the empty tomb. We will see how the power of the empty tomb can fill the despair of an empty life. I hope you came today ready to worship God and encounter Him through His word. - Phil Brookman

Playing For Keeps Beginning this Wednesday, April 23, and each Wednesday through May, parents are invited to a special study and discussion, led by Barry and Diana Perkins, titled “Playing for Keeps.” The class will begin at 7 p.m. in Room A113. There are approximately 936 weeks from the day a child is born until he or she graduates high school. Why does that mat-ter? It’s simple: if you’re a parent of a teen, elementary age, or even a new parent, you are running out of time. Your days of influence are limited. That’s why we think it’s time to start “Playing for Keeps.”

College Send-Off It’s hard to believe how quickly four (sometimes five...or six; do I hear six?!) years of college can pass. But with a group of Seniors like we are blessed with at Memorial Road, it can be hard to say goodbye. Our college Seniors are intelligent, funny, open-minded, compassionate, athletic, creative, musical and most importantly...they have a heart and mind for Jesus Christ. As I think about the future for our communities and the church herself, I am optimistic and joyful because of these young adults. I’m also thankful for a church like Memorial Road that invests deeply in the spiritual formation of students. The blessings of that invest-ment are far-reaching--for the church that meets here, for the churches literally all over the world where our graduates will go, and for the King-dom that will never perish, spoil or fade. So on behalf of this congregation, congratulations Seniors! May you always know God to be faithful and good. May you always know you have a church home here in Edmond, Oklahoma, that loves you.

- Jeff McMillon

Hope Harbor Hope Harbor cans are still available! You can find them at Infor-mation Central. This year there is an additional opportunity to support the chil-dren of Hope Harbor. On Saturday, April 26th, they will have a truck here at Memorial Road from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., accepting donations of furniture, working appliances, kitchenware, clothing, toys, DVDs, books, games, and other household goods. All donations must be in good condition. (Please note that they cannot accept TVs, mattresses, or computer monitors.) These donations will be sold in Hope Harbor’s thrift store, and the proceeds will ensure excellent physical and spiritual care for the chil-dren who make Hope Harbor their home. If you need help transporting goods to our building, please contact Barry Stafford or Jason Garner.

This class, for seekers, focuses on the life and teachings of Jesus and provides regular opportuni-ties to ask questions about God, faith, the Bible, and spirituality in a safe and welcoming environment.
