The Ergo has a completely new designcab which provides more space and betterworking visibility. The cab construction isextremely service- riendly. Spaciousness andgood control ergonomics have a positivee ect on the working speed and decreases

the stress on the driver. Ball-end handlesprovide a new kind o handiness and ease ouse. Traditional controls are available as anoption.

The Ergos power source is the Mer-cedes-Benz OM906LA diesel enginewhich starts a new era in the ueleconomy and emission levels o or-est machines. The turbocharger anda sophisticated air-to-air intercooling

technology provide top per- ormance(275 hp/ 205 kW). The electroniccontrol system o the water cooled,6-cylinder engine produces optimal

torque within each area o work-ing speed 811 t. lb. (1100 Nm)/1200-1500 rpm. Due to cylinderspeci c direct uel injection the uelburns extremely clean. The enginecomplies with the Euromot 3A andEPA Tier 3 emission limits.

The Ergos active suspensionsystem eliminates terrainunevenness e ectively andkeeps the cab upright.

The Ergos short construction makes it very agile in its classsize. Due to its active suspension the ground pressure causedby the tires is distributed evenly and the drive routes remainnarrow. This is why the Ergo is also well suited for

thinning operations.

PONSSE Opti4G is a new gen-eration data processing system

or harvesters. As a Windows/ PC based application it is e -cient and easy to use. The trunk shape calculating prognosis al-gorithm, together with the e -cient optimization calculation,produces visible results.

Easy to open side pon- toons and side bump-ers contain spaciousstorage rooms. Thedoor side pontoonsserve well as a storagespace, e.g. or sparehoses.

The 106-gallon(400 l) uel tank, to-gether with the low

uel consumptiono the Mercedes-Benz engine, makeit easy to time the

uel lling stops withother pauses.

The Ergos rein orced rame pivot can stand very high stresses, and

the possibility to retighten it reduc-es the wear rate.

Thanks to the OptiControl connectedhydrostatic drive transmission system,optimal drive e ciency is obtained at all engine speeds. Ability to move themachine at engine working speedsimprovesits working e ciency.

PONSSE cranes o er durability and highspeed or harvesting. The center ogravity o the lightweight crane lies lowand there ore working is steady. The tilt-ing crane pillar, together with the ast sliding boom, enables linear, ast move-ment o the harvester head. PONSSEErgo can also be tted with a PONSSEC33 parallel crane, which has a reacho 10,3-11 metres.

It is possible to equip aPONSSE orest machine withup to 30 working lights. Newlighting technology, light con-struction without using perspex,creates a antastic lighting powerand an optimal light eld.

The crane stand can be tilted hydraulically. It en-sures e cient workingalso on uneven andsloping terrain.

The fow o the cranes work-ing hydraulics is 9 cu.in. (145cm 3 ) / 235 bar, and or theharvester head 11.6 cu.in.(190 cm 3 ) / 235 bar. Eachhydraulic circuit has its ownpressure lter. Cooling cir-cuit lter capacity is approx.26 gallons (100 l) o oil perminute. In the Ergo, the con-

tinuous cooling e ciency, inde-pendent o the working move-ments, is 60 hp (45 kW).

The PONSSE harvester heads aree cient and versatile, well-suited orboth thinning and regeneration elling.The PONSSE Ergo equipped with thePONSSE H73e harvester head canhandle trunks with diameters o up

to 70 cm.

The Opti4G is the new genera- tion in ormation processing system

or harvesters. It helps the driver tocut the trunks exactly to the right di-mensions and thus improves signi -cantly the productivity and degree ocultivation o orest harvesting.

The trunk speci c data record-ed by the Opti4G is very easy as it isbased on the normal Windows op-erating system and on a PC com-puter. The high calculation e cien-cy and the vast memory capacity o

the computer ensure a ast optimiz-ing process and, on the other hand,

the exact recognition o the trunk

shape produces an exact prognosisand log division. The trunk speci cdata recorded by the Opti4G can bereviewed and used, even years later a good basis or the development o a quality system.

Windows operating system ena-bles the use o versatile data trans-

er and map application systems dur-ing harvesting. By means o a satel-lite locationing system, using electri-cal stand maps, the driver can seeon the clear color screen, the loca-

tion o his machine, the stand bor-ders, and the areas le t outside har-

vesting area.
