The boat is designed to be navigated single handed. It is fully equipped for a circumnavigation and will be handed over completely worked. (New shrouds, ropes, paint, anti-fouling, engines serviced). It has been thoroughly debugged and improved in the previous years. Production Process: The boat was built by Barramundi Boat Yard. (French Boatyard experienced building Le Rouge epoxy boats who transferred production from Europe to SriLanka) including CAD machines and most of the French / Belgian management. Erik Lerouge’s design has been proved on multiple circumnavigations. Older brands are Freydis from Soubise or Peter. The boat was vacuum infused into a 3 part negative mould previously built from a plug. A mini-series of 5 other Barramundi 470 was built 2010. Built of sandwich fiberglass above waterline-underwater, keel and rudders is built of Kevlar. Resin used is epoxy from West System. Foam is core cell. Paint and filler used is awl grip, awl fare. 2 component polyurethane paint – colour snow white. No osmosis possible with epoxy, less weight sincere more strength. Hull has been thoroughly cured.
