1 Overview

The Lido/eRouteManual Updater is used to update various parts of the application and/or data through a user-friendly graphical interface. Update packages are delivered to customers and are used with this application. An update package can contain any combination of static/dynamic/escape route data, config files, new application. The updater’s graphical interface consists of various areas.

1. Currently installed information, including the Lido/eRouteManual application version, the airline code and the corresponding data cycles.

2. Update to information, including the Lido/eRouteManual application version (will be filled if update package contains a new application, else left blank), the airline code and the corresponding data cycles (will be filled if update package contains new data, else left blank).

3. The Browse button is used to select the update file. The path to update file is shown next to the Browse button, after selection.

4. Progress bar indication area to track the update completion 5. Check Database button checks the currently installed data for missing or corrupted files. 6. The Update button launches the update process.

2 Update process

Please follow these steps to install an update package.

1. Press the Browse button in the Updater interface a popup window appears

2. Locate the update file in the tree and press Open the popup window closes, the update

package is verified and the path of the update file is displayed in the “Update File” field on the graphical interface. Note: a processing wheel may appear during the loading. Please wait until it disappears.

3. Press the Update button the update process is launched and the progress bar informs on

the percentage of completion.

4. After the update is complete, the user is informed through a message box.

5. The “Curently installed” section is updated in the upper right of the graphical interface.

6. The Updater application can be closed and the Lido/eRouteManual application can be

started.
