CLEAN THE INSTALLATION DISC

The first possibility is that the disc you used for installing the software may be corrupt. Scratches or dust on the installation disc typically abort the file copying process. Followed by abortion of the file copying operation it displays an error message. In such case, clean the installation disc using a soft cloth very carefully.

REPLACE INSTALLATION DISC

Even after cleaning the installation disc you may encounter the same error if the installation disc is unreadable. You may require replacing the installation disc or download the setup from the Internet, and go through the installation process from scratch.

LOCATE DATA1.CAB FILE

If you’re encountering Windows cannot copy files from Source64 while installing Adobe products, you may have to extract a particular file from Data1.cab which is located on the installation disc. Later, when you’re prompted to browse for the same, select that file and attempt retry.

For Windows 8.1/ 8 and Earlier Versions:

1. Exit the setup program.

2. Go to the root directory of the installation disc.

3. If you could manually locate the Data1.cab file, locate it. If not, press F3 key and type “Data1.cab” in the Search Box and press ENTER. Download Quick-Fix:

4. Under the Search Results right click that file, select Open with, and select a file compressor program such as WinZip or 7 Zip File Manager.

5. Select a file named adobepdf.dll_64 and then click the Extract button.

6. Select a destination folder, say Desktop.

7. Now launch the setup as administrator again.

8. When you’re prompted to select the file, go to the destination containing adobepdf.dll_64 file and select it.

SCAN FOR MISSING FILES

You may also scan for missing system files with the help of a pre-installed tool in Windows, called System File Checker. The scan and replace process may take longer time depending on the version of operating system installed, and so on.

For Windows 8.1/ 8:

1. Insert Windows Operating System installation disc.

2. Press Windows Key + X.

3. Select “Command Prompt (Admin)”.
