Error when trying to click on Action Link or Select Details icon for a Planning Unit With Secondary Dimension:

"ADFC-10001: cannot instantiate class 'approval.view.backing.HspViewDetailsBean' ADF_FACES-60097:For more information, please see the server's error log for an entry beginning with: ADF_FACES-"

This issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Create a Planning Unit with secondary members.

2. Open Manage Approvals, select Scenario | Version | Planning Unit which has a secondary member.

3. Select Details icon or click on Action Link. This will error out.

Cause

The cause of this issue has been identified and verified as unpublished Bug.13867527: ERROR WHEN SELECT

DETAILS ICON FOR PU WHICH HAS A SECONDARY MEMBER

Solution

This issue has been fixed in Planning Release 11.1.2.2.000 Patch Set Update (PSU): 11.1.2.2.300, Patch 13905088.

To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

1. Download and review the readme and pre-requisites for Patch 13905088.

2. Ensure that you have taken a backup of your system before applying the recommended patch.

3. Apply the patch in a test environment.

4. Retest the issue.

5. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.

Workaround: Use the Change Status button to modify the state of these planning units. (Note that the Change

Status button is only available in Flat View.)
