DESCRIPTION

The approved device is a self-contained electronicbalance, that is fitted with a single centrally locatedweight sensor, working on the electromagnetic forcecompensation principle. The weight sensor supportsa stainless steel load receiving element. The devicecomponents are encased within an aluminum housingwhich is supported by three (3) feet, one fixed (orstationary) in the front center of the device and two(2) adjustable in each rear corner. The device can befitted with a draft shield and is powered by a 12 VDCfrom a 100 VAC external transformer.

DESCRIPTION

Il s’agit d’une balance électronique autonome, munied’un capteur pondéral unique central, qui fonctionnesur le principe de compensation de la forceélectromagnétique. Sur le capteur pondéral repose unélément récepteur de charge en acier inoxydable. Lescomposants de l’appareil sont compris dans un boîtieren aluminium qui est soutenu par trois (3) pieds dontl’un, situé à l’avant au centre, est fixe (immobile) etles deux (2) autres, à chacun des coins à l’arrière, sontréglables. L’appareil est alimenté par 12 V c.c.provenant d’un transformateur externe de 100 V c.a.et peut être équipé d’un écran contre les courantsd’air.

DISPLAY

The device features a vacuum flourescent indicatorfor weight display, alphabetic messages, delta rangegraphic, weighing ranges, delta range for finerreadability and annunciators for among others,motion, cal, load, done, and abort.

DISPOSITIF D’AFFICHAGE

L’appareil comprend un indicateur fluorescent sousvide pour l’affichage du poids, des messagesalphabétiques, du graphique de la plage delta, desétendues de pesage, de la plage delta pour unelisibilité accrue ainsi que des voyants indiquant, entreautres, le mouvement, l’étalonnage, la charge et la finet l’abandon de l’opération.



FUNCTION KEYS

The device is fitted with the following keys:

“ON/OFF”, “TARE”, “e”, “v0w cal”, “F” and“Menu”.

Note that the zero and tare key functions (O/T) aresynonymous with these devices.

CALIBRATION

The device can be calibrated automatically with abuilt-in calibrated weight. In this mode, the balancewill perform an automatic calibration sequence whenneeded. During this automatic calibration sequencethe display will show the words “CAL”. When thissequence is complete, the device will return to normaloperation.

SEALING

The scale can be sealed with a wire security sealthreaded through a hole in the top and bottom halvesof the rear of the enclosure preventing the housingfrom being separated. It is also necessary to place aself-destructive seal over one of the screws under thesub-platter to prevent access to calibration andconfiguration parameters.

SCELLEMENT

La balance peut être scellée à l’aide d’un filmétallique passé à travers un trou dans les moitiéssupérieure et inférieure de l’arrière du boîtierempêchant celui-ci d’être séparé. Il est égalementnécessaire de placer un scellé autodestructeur au-dessus d’une des vis sous le sous-plateau pourempêcher l’accès à l’étalonnage et à la configurationdes paramètres.

The marking, installation and manner of use of tradedevices are subject to inspection in accordance withregulations and specifications established under theWeights and Measures Act. Requirements relating tomarking are set forth in sections 49 to 54 of theSpecifications Relating to Non-Automatic WeighingDevices. Installation and use requirements are setforth in sections 55 to 67 of the SpecificationsRelating to Non-Automatic Weighing Devices. Averification of conformity is required in addition tothis approval. Inquiries regarding inspection andverification should be addressed to the localinspection office of Industry Canada.
