Es Mambo is a high yielding conventional variety which has a high Agronomic Merit Rating of 41.2.

It is a proven variety that has maintained consistent yields across a range of sites and across a

number of contrasting years both on farm and in trial.

Being a low biomass variety Mambo reduces costs and pressure at harvest. This combined with

it’s early maturity and robust all round disease resistance makes it a firm favourite on farm.

DK Cabernet Es Mambo

With restrictions on neonicotinoid

seed treatments now in place, rapid

establishment and early autumn

vigour are fundamental in securing

your crop over the problematic

autumn/winter period. Es Mambo

scores very highly for both these

characters so offers the grower

peace of mind during establishment.

Robust disease resistance completes the package…..

Phoma Stem Canker remains the most significant and costly disease of winter oilseed rape. It can cause

premature plant death resulting in yield losses of up to 50% in the worst cases. Es Mambo carries a number of genes

which significantly improves it’s ability to resist the disease.

Light Leaf Spot can also be a very costly disease as it has the ability to stunt plants and cause premature pod

ripening which can result in huge yield losses. Mambo scores 6.4 for the disease, the highest score recorded is a 7.

Symptoms of Phoma Stem Canker

Verticillium Wilt is becoming an increasingly important

disease across the UK. There has been a number of years

work by AICC and ADAS looking at varietal differences. As

there is no chemical control for the disease, varietal

resistance/tolerance is the only way to protect your crop.

Mambo has proved over the years to have excellent

tolerance to the disease. In 2015 trials it came second in

terms of yield and showed some of the lowest levels of

verticillium wilt.
