Healthy Relaonships at ISM
This year one of our School‐Wide Priories has been to focus
on student well‐being:
Student safety and well‐being will be reviewed during the
2014‐15 school year. The purpose of the goal is to enhance
safety at ISM, to educate students about their own
responsibility for being safe, and to encourage the growth of
a culture that supports posive and healthy relaonships among the various ISM stakeholders.
On Tuesday, we held a parent coff ee morning to share the
development of our curriculum in this area. This aernoon a
detailed summary of this session has been circulated to all
Elementary parents including specific details of learning
outcomes (targets) for every grade level. We believe this
work is fundamental to the safety and well‐being of our
students and we appreciate your support as we move from
the wrien work into the teaching and learning aspect over
the next months.
Grades 2, 3 and 4: Spotlight on Specials
We recently held a Mathemacs morning, consisng of a
parent informaon session followed by an open invitaon
into our classrooms to experience Mathemacs learning at
ISM. From 9th to 13th March, we will be hosng our
‘Spotlight on Specials’ week in the Elementary for Grades 2, 3
and 4. During this week parents have another open
invitaon to aend and be a part of the learning in their
children’s Art, Music and PE classes. No appointments are
necessary so please just turn up at the venues ready for
some learning and some fun. Class teachers will be emailing
