Team Mesa Adaptive Sports is for athletes that have been diagnosed with an intellectual disability. We provide a wide variety of sport options that offer opportunities for our participants to engage in activities that promote socialization, skill development and physical activity. The adaptive programs are provided for individuals ages 8 through adulthood. A medical examination by a physician is required for participation. Mobile Recreation Unit
SportsRecreational sports are always in season at the City of Mesa! Softball, senior softball, flag football, volleyball and kickball are offered throughout the year. There are men, women and co-ed leagues available. Seasons run for 7 weeks plus an end of season tournament for qualifying teams. FALL SWIM TEAMS - Join a Fall recreational team and get in on the action! Afterschool and homeschool swim teams available. Afterschool teams available at Brimhall, Fremont and Stapley Aquatic Complexes. Homeschool teams available at Skyline and Kino Aquatic Complexes. August 11 – September 19.
FALL SWIM LESSONS - All levels of learn-to-swim classes are offered. Take advantage of our program that utilizes qualified instructors to provide fun, engaging and challenging activities that help children and adults learn to swim. Saturday morning classes at Kino and Skyline Aquatic Complexes. August 8 – September 26.
FLOWRIDER MONTHLY RIDE SESSIONS (ages 12+) - Looking for something fun and exciting to do? The Flowrider will be open for fun surfing, spills and thrills. Monthly ride sessions meet once a week on Wednesdays for 2 hrs each week. $90 for 1 month. Capped at 12 riders per month. August – November.www.mesaaz.gov/flowrider
