ESCORTS CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT HISTORY Launch of Escorts in 1944 by Mr. H.P. Nanda & Mr.

Yudi Nanda. Escorts Construction Equipment Department

Formed in 1970. In1971,Escorts diversifies & starts manufacturing

construction equipment by introduces Pick n Carry Cranes & Front End Loaders.

In 1983,Rough Terrain Hydraulic Mobile Crane introduced.

In 1997,ECEL launched Franna All Terrain PNC Cranes.

ECEL launched HD-85-Tandem Vibratory Roller in 2001.

MAC 1214-a wreckage recovery crane was designed,launched & record 280 machines were sold in launch year 2002 by ECEL.

2420- 12 T Soil Vibratory & ED-30 : 3 T Mini Tandem Vibratory Roller were launched In 2005.

2006-HP 216, a new generation Pick n Carry Crane came in to existence.

ECEL launched TRX series of pick n carry in the category of 23 T,17 T & 16 T in 2007.

TRX 2319, a 23 T Crane being the largest crane in this category in the world.

LOADING STATION

Material is loaded from the fabrication unit over the overhead crane. Material handling overhead crane is divided into three divisions to operate differently over three different parts at a time. After that the three divisions are combined together to bring material over the single overhead crane. In the next step the material undergoes the shot blasting operation.

 SHOT BLASTING MACHINE

This process removes mill scales, oxide bloom, slag left during welding and activating the surface in preparation for Phosphating. The shot blasting machine has a steel ball of the diameter 0.7mm and balls are shot at very high velocity on all sides of the component. A blower is attached to the shot blasting machine whose purpose is to overcome the very high suction within the shot blaster so as to avoid the suction of shot blasts. Roller belt drive is used to circulate the shot balls through the blaster. In this method all the oil, grease, dirt, mill scale, rust, corrosion products, oxides, paint or other foreign matter is completely removed from the surface by abrasive blasting.

DRY OFF OVEN After pre-treatment process the components become wet. So

it becomes necessary to dry these components. This drying process is carried out in the dry-off oven. The temperature of the oven is increased to about 100-110 degrees Celsius. This high temperature vaporizes all the water in the components. The treating time for components in the oven ranges from 7-10 minutes.

Liquid painting has the following disadvantages: Poor chip resistance Poor corrosion resistance Poor life Paint peel off Failure to be lead free
