El esguince de tobillo es la lesión deportiva más frecuente. Se estima una
prevalencia mayor del 45% en deportes de alto riesgo como el baloncesto. Es
frecuente también en el ámbito no deportivo con una incidencia de 1 cada
10.000 personas /día

Exámen Físico
Observación: paciente llega caminado con signos de claudicación, edema ++ y equimosis maleolar medial y lateral
ROM: Dorsiflexion disminuida y con dolor a la plantiflexion e inversión.
Fuerza: presenta debilidad de fibulares, tibial anterior, con aumento de tensión de grastrocnemios, soleo y tibial posterior.
Palpación: presenta piel con temperatura, y dolor a la palpación de ligamento PAA
Dolor: EVA 7/10 cmt a la actividad. (Ej. Marcha)

Objetivo General
Recuperar la funcionalidad de EEII para favorecer ADV y retorno actividades de trabajo y/o recreación.
Objetivos Específicos• Control de Aumento de volumen e inflamacion (PRICE) 1ros tres
dias.• Activación de musculatura inhibida• Liberación de musculatura en aumento de tensión• Recuperación de congruencias articulares• Reeducación de control sensoriomotriz• Educación de hábitos posturales.• Manejo del dolor.
