WHO ARE THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR?
Highlands College ESOL is able to offer the higher levels of the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations for non-native speakers of English.
These Cambridge English qualifications are highly prestigious and are recognised worldwide in academic and corporate fields.
The certificates follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and are available at the following levels:

ESOL: ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? The C2 Cambridge English: Proficiency is the highest-level qualification available for non-native speakers of English.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
You will be able to demonstrate a mastery of English at an exceptional level. The course enables communication with fluency and sophistication.
You will be able to function in senior professional or academic environments, be able to effectively negotiate and persuade, be able to address complex or sensitive issues and possess the skills to deal confidently with complex and demanding texts.
COURSE DETAILS Thursday evenings between 6pm and 9pm, from 26th September 2019 until 13th February 2020. Cost: £290 (exam fees extra).
THE C2 CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH: PROFICIENCY

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
The C1 Cambridge English: Advanced, is the second highest level qualification available for non-native speakers of English.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
You will attain a highly effective level of English and will be able to function confidently and successfully in managerial and professional environments.
You will be able to participate with confidence in workplace meetings, seminars and presentations and demonstrate a fluent and agile use of language.

Wednesday evenings between 6pm and 9pm, from 25th September 2019 until 12th February 2020
Cost: £290 (exam fees extra).
THE C1 CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH: ADVANCED

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR AND WHAT WILL I LEARN?
The B2 Cambridge English: First is the most widely known of the Cambridge qualifications and demonstrates that the holder has attained a highly functional level of English and is able to communicate effectively in a wide range of areas and contexts.

Wednesday evenings between 6.30pm and 9.30pm, from 2nd October 2019 until 20th May 2020.
Cost: £462 (exam fees extra).
THE B2 CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH: FIRST

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
The B2 Cambridge English: Business Vantage is a qualification designed for those working in business and professional environments.
WHAT WILL I LEARN? The course covers all common types of business communication such as emails, letters, short presentations and meetings. The language level is similar to the B2 Cambridge English: First.
Successful completion of this course will show that you have attained a highly functional level of English and that you are able to communicate effectively in a business environment.

Tuesday evenings between 6pm and 9pm, from 3rd December 2019 until 26th May 2020.
Cost: £450 (exam fees extra).
