We were going to India for my bother's wedding. we

were waiting to check-in, an airport official came up to us

asked us where we were going. We told him we were going to New Delhi. He

asked us to step out from the line. he informed us that our

flight had been cancelled and we would not be going anywhere that day.

we got to the airline desk, they told us

get onto another carrier as standby passengers. , we

tried all the other carriers nobody could guarantee us a

seat. one of them offered us to return at a later time

decided to go to the restaurant have some tea

calm ourselves down. it was time, we

returned to check whether we had been placed on that day's flight. We were

relieved to find out we could all go. we checked in. There

was no time to do any duty free shopping. , I thought there

was perhaps enough time to get a battery for my camera.

I was leaving the shop with the new battery, I heard an

announcement that the gate for our flight was closing. we

heard that, we began to run. Fortunately we just made it on time.

we got on the plane fell into our seats

with relief. it had been an uncertain start to our trip.
