This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the
Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 676201
AIM: To develop a digital education platform to support Interprofessional Education (IPE) for clinicians engaged in the delivery of primary health care services focused on chronic disease prevention and healthy lifestyle promotion.
What is IPE?"Interprofessional Education occurs when two or more professions learn with, from and about each other to improve collaboration and the quality of care“
IPE brings education away from lecture based learning into a realm of collaborative, engaged and focused personal and team development.
The resulting increase in collaborative efforts of multidisciplinary teams (MDT’s) within health systems has been shown to positively affect patient care. Collaborative practice has been linked to a decrease in-total patient complications; length of hospital stays; tension and conflict among caregivers; staff turnover; hospital admissions; clinical error rates; mortality rates resulting in increased patient satisfaction and health outcomes.
Accessible CPD which can also provide a useful platform for team communication and information sharing.
Poor platform or application development gets in the way of the user experience.
