She is using several mediums such as drawing, painting, and photography to deliver her message to the audience. Large-scale art works and illustration attract her. She would like to work in this field. Esraa is interested in media and society and interacting with people, so she prefers working with different people from different nationalities to communicate and collaborate with them. Now Esraa Abdulla is establishing herself as a successful Emirati artist, and aiming for her master degree after graduation.

Biography

I have always enjoyed Art from an early age. My earliest memory of this is doodling on sheets of paper. I’ve spent most of my childhood in drawing, cutting papers and stick them together to create an image of my creativity that represent myself. This love of Art has stayed with me and developed and has transformed from art to design.

My main goal is to use my graphic design skills as a medium to grab people’s attention and to alert them from the global problems that is surrounded by us nowadays and helping them to find solutions. Added on that, I want to show people and introduce them to the Arab culture throw my designs such as Arabic typography.

My inspirations are mainly visual artists and graphic designers such as Paula Scher that creates maps with types and posters, and the artist Andy Goldsworthy that creates different kind of art works form the nature wastes. Also many photographs inspire me because it is cropped and focused on one particular place. Last but not least, I’m always inspired by nature because of the different shapes, colors, and lines that are in the nature.

As a young Emirati Graphic designer, my ambition is to transforms my designs andideas to clients from Dubai to all around the world, and help to solve the problems thatare surrounded by us throw my visual designs.

ISEA, the International Symposium of Electronic Art, is the world’s most important new media arts event for the interdisciplinary discussion and showcase of creative productions applying new technologies in interactive and digital media. It’s an event that annually brings together artists, academics, scientists, and new media practitioners.

For this assignment I had to develop the overall branding for this prestigious symposium (to be used both in print and electronically). The branding will be used for all events and promotion leading up to the conference, as well as during the conference and beyond.

Friday Market was built by an Emirati man almost 10 years ago. it has became one of the most important traditional markets it Dubai. All the shops in Friday market are opened and built in a nature setting. It depends on the roofs to prevent the goods from the sun's heat, humidity and rain.

Bur DubaiNaif Souk was built in more than 40 years ago. It is located in the old Deira district of Dubai. This souk is amongst the oldest souks of Dubai and in days gone by it served camel sellers as a camel market and from that, it has developed into a full-fledged marketplace. Today, they rebuilt Naif Souk awaits its visitors with more than a hundred shops and air-conditioned climate.

Satwa Souk is One of Dubai's best-kept secrets. It is essentially an opened shopping square erea that was built almost 20 years ago by Dubai government. It is located southwest of Bur Dubai and adjacent to Sheikh Zayed Road.

Al Karama Souk was built almost 30 years ago by Dubai government in Bur Duabi . It is a basic open-air complex of modest little shops set in an unprepossessing concrete mall.

I’ve chosen this concept because I think that the handwriting represents the person’s personality, for example it shows if the person is organized and neat OR messy from his/ her handwriting.

The goal of this project was to promote the Date Honey Festival by creating a package that will hold of glass bottle of date honey and serve as an event announcement. My goal was is to create a unique and engaging package to garner interest in the event for both a UAE-based and International audience. The Festival will promote UAE culture and heritage with a variety of films, events and exhibitions.
