1. Check the molten iron composition, weight and temperature before molten iron charging. Report to shift coordinator if molten iron from blast furnace contains too much slag and low temperature. Hot metal from IMP

can directly send for 2 times sampling depending on Coordinator and MF PIC decision.

2. Molten iron covering with thick slag should be crushed before poured into mixer. Avoid pouring molten iron with slag.

3. Monitor the condition of ladle (no skull) before tapping out the molten iron. Tapping weight of molten iron should follow the requirement of the converter.

4. Weight of the tapping molten iron should follow the converter operator requirements. Allowable tolerance shall in range of ±1.5 tons.

5. Ensure the tapping temperature is controlled between 1150°C -1300°C ±50°C. Each shift should take molten iron sample more than 2 times and the results should promptly inform converter operator.

6. For MF maintenance: Temperature of inner

and outer of mixer shell should be measured in every shift and recorded.

Clear the mixer tap hole or foundry if

there was slagging and clogging.

Every shift has to check the condition of hydraulic system.

Every shift should check all parts of mixer conditions, check and lubrication of variety of equipment, and identify the problems in time and reported.
