• Free, pre-packaged medication to treat CT and GC

• Launched in 2005, re-launched using online portal in 2015

• PDPT distributed in 2016:- 20,980 CT doses- 5,343 GC doses

• Eligible clinics must:- Be located in California- Serve a population at risk for STDs- Serve an uninsured or underinsured population- Provide index patient treatment for CT & GC

Implementation Process

Clinics dispense partner medication, educational materials, and clinic referral to patients

PharmPak repackages medication, ships directly to clinics, and invoices Essential Access

Essential Access downloads orders and sends to PharmPak

Clinics place CT/GC medication orders online

California Department of Public Health purchases medication and ships to repackaging vendor (PharmPak)

• Distribute PDPT to CT/GC+ patients for treatment of partners unable or unlikely to seek care

• Dispense PDPT with educational materials and clinic referral

• Maintain log of all dispensed PDPT medication

• Watch Essential Access Health’s PDPT webinar series annually

Clinic Participation Requirements

• One point-person per agency may order medication for all sites

• Orders may be placed up to one time per month for each site

• Recommend 2 bulk orders of 6 month supply per year

• Medication log data since last order must be submitted:- Number of doses in stock - Number of expired doses - Chlamydia/gonorrhea data

• Number of CT/GC positive cases, by gender*• Number of patients provided with PDPT, by gender• Number of doses of PDPT dispensed to CT and GC-positive

patients, by gender
