1) Chess is like life because there are black and white squares on they chess board so its saying that we have good and bad days and some people have more than others because they have to stay on that particular colour like bishops, ect.

2) Like in life you die if you make the wrong choice, if you make the wrong move you can cost one of your pieces.

3) Like in life, one person needs to make the first move so all the rest can advance, a piece needs to move, like a pawn for example so the king and queen can move to get in the game.

4) In life we have wars and a chess game is just like a war because you have to destroy other people to win.

5) Like in life, every step you take could cause a problem. You have to be cautious in what you do and try to make sure you don’t put yourself in too much danger.

6) In chess there is always a way around your problems and a million possibilities for you to be in danger- you are never safe.

7) In wars, you kill anyone on your way to get to the king to make him surrender and give them something- they never KILL the king because in chess, cornering the king (in this case making him surrender) is the only way to win.

10) In the chess game you can set up a barrier to protect your other pieces from harm- in life you can ignore rude remarks so it doesn’t affect you.

9) The piece you choose to move and destroy other pieces in then open for the other pieces to get- in life if you go and do things that will help your team you will get recognised and other people would want to be better than you.

8) Every type of piece has to move differently, in life everyone is different and can do things better than others.
