produces films and containers from different plastics

for applications in packaging solutions in the food in-

dustry and pharmaceutical industry as well as films

ETIMEX TECHNICAL COMPONENTS GmbH is a sup-

plier of blow-moulded and injection-moulded parts

PRODUCTS

Plastic packaging has been our contribution to the op-

timal protection and appealing presentation of your

premium products for more than 65 years

We supply trays, pots and lids made from a multitude

of plastics, to match your product requirements in

terms of shelf life and protecting the aroma as well as

the methods of preparation.

The procedure for the manufacture of VISTAFORM® PP

films facilitate simple processing on all popular FFS

machines. The thermoforming films made from PP,

PET and PP barriers are characterised by maximum

transparency.

Our flexible PP cast films provide converters with

customised mono- and multi-layered films, suitable

for stand-up pouches, printable and peelable lids and

sealing films and for sterilized medical applications.

Our films for pharmaceutical applications are the op-

timal solution for environmentally friendly PVdC-free

blister packs. The PP film for ultra-hygiene purposes

is manufactured in a clean room. An aluminium-free

push-through film rounds off the range of products.

PURELAY® PHARM : PURELAY® LIDTABLET BLISTER AND MONO-BLISTER

We are the leading manufacturer of thermoformed

pharmaceutical films made from polypropylene for

tablet blister packs and injection-moulded packaging.

Production takes place in a clean room that complies

with Class EU ISO 14644-1.

Our PP push-through film substitutes aluminium,

facilitating the production of an environmentally

friendly mono-blister pack.

We offer an extensive range of sealable or peelable

or coatable cast polypropylene films (CPP). These PP

laminating films are used, for example, as a functional

layer in composite film puches, lid films and heat seal-

ing films. Siliconised variants can be used as release

film.

All plastics processed comply the latest food regula-

tions EU.

PURELAY® films made from polypropylene offer the

best water-vapour barrier with easy quality control in

tribution.

Blister packs with PURELAY® PHARM protect your

product from harmful environmental influences.

The barrier against water vapour is in the case of

PURELAY® PHARM effective for the entire film -

DESIGN

Co-extruded, standard transparent and white, as well

as filled punchable versions.

APPLICATION

The peelable sealing films are laminated against PET

for example or are heat-resistant coated; they are

used in FFS machines. The filled versions are also

suitable as punched plastic plates for peelable sealing

of trays and pots. Certain types are also suitable for

sterilisation of filled packaging

ETIMEX produces mono-extruded and co-extruded

laminate films made from polypropylene on modern

cast film extrusion lines as well as film for coatings.

VISTALUX® LAMINATE FILMS; FILM FOR COATINGS

DESIGN

Mono-extruded and co-extruded; also textured;

standard colours are transparent and white; other

colours on request. Formulas will be adapted to

requirements, e.g., for siliconisation.

APPLICATION

Laminated against PET, OPP, OPA, aluminium, metal

sheet, paper and other materials. The ready-made

duplex or triplex composites are used as sealing

pouches, sealing films or stand-up pouches for pack-

aging for food, pet food, medicinal and technical

products.

high-performance oxygen barrier thanks to an EVOH

barrier, aroma preservation and the water-vapour

barrier enable a long shelf life for sterilized meals at

room temperature.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Etimex applies comprehensive quality controls, rang-

ing from machine operator self-control to the con-

tinuous inline testing of the processes. Numerous

inspections on the finished products in the laboratory

ensure compliance with the high standard of quality.

Various analytical tests like measuring the melt flow

index (MFI), the DSC measurement or the IR spectros-

copy ensure that our manufacturing is reproducible.

Functional measurements like sealed seam strength,

cold crack resistance, dimensional stability and shape

retention are elements of the quality control in our

company. Independent institutes regularly test and

certify the food regulatory health and safety aspects,

in particular by means of migration measurements.

The health of the consumer and the smooth process-

ing in your processes are crucial to our quality.

QUALITY AND HYGIENE

Etimex's management of quality and hygiene during

the production is monitored and audited by independ-

ent certifying institutes. Numerous customer audits

attest our high standard and constant improvement in

the areas of hygiene and quality.

The high requirements of the food industry are our

minimum benchmark. ETIMEX has been certified for

many years not only according to ISO 9001 but also

according to the BRC and IoP standards.

We manufacture in a clean room of Class EU-ISO

14644-1 in the area of pharmacy and healthcare.

Environmental protection and a sustainable ener-

gy policy are of utmost importance to us. Our aim

is to improve the energy performance with a reduced

impact on the environment. This arises from the re-

sponsibility that we understand as an obligation to

our workforce, our customers and the environment.

Cost-effectiveness and sustainability are not two ex-

tremes at Etimex but instead go hand in hand. ETIMEX

is certified according to ISO 14001 and operates an

energy-management system certified according to

DIN EN ISO 50001, which is the basis for continuous

improvement of energy efficiency and the systematic

improvement of energy flows.

ETIMEX has a continuous management process for

identifying and appraising the potential savings and

has taken measures to continuously optimise energy

performance.

Groundwater has been used to cool our plants for

more than 20 years and the waste heat that is gen-

erated is used to heat the offices and administration

building. Relevant data (refer to the graph above)

about individual consumption like compressed air,

electricity, etc., is monitored and stored via a special

computer programme.
