Best Practices and Findings
• SSRS integration requires CTP3 (SP1) of SQL Server 2012• SSRS integration is PowerShell based• SharePoint 2013 beta had CSS bugs• Check your fonts and color settings in all
Scorecards after the migration
Best Practices and Findings (1/3)
• Watch out if you use Multi Authentication or a non Windows Authentication provider (click-once tools)• Watch out for the correct Dashboard
Designer and Report Builder version (click-once install)• Do not use Explorer View for copying
reports. Use Report Builder 3.0 only
Best Practices and Findings (2/3)
• SP 2013 Business Intelligence performs well on mobile devices (tested on: iPad 2 with iOS 5.1, Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1)• PowerView was not used because it can not
connect to cubes yet
Best Practices and Findings (3/3)
• Access SharePoint through mobile devices• Higher user adoption through the new user
interface(e.g.: sharing and managing documents, PeoplePicker, Task View etc. )• Single Point of entry (Social Features,
„Follow“-feature, push applications into MySites)• Commitment to Claims Based
Authentication
Benefits reached
• SQL Server 2012 SP1 (CTP3) download• SharePoint Server 2013 SSRS 2012 integrat
ion• Business Intelligence Features and SharePoi
