THIS WEEK IN THE PARISH
A few words from our Pastor
Dear parishioners of Sacred Heart Parish,
As new Pastor of this beautiful Parish, I would like to extend to all of you my greetings and blessings, and surely a thank you to all of you for having received me with open heart and with a warm welcoming! I truly felt a joyous embrace from the community.
We are now at the beginning of a new ‘adventure’, together, as I like to call life, an adventure, since in Christ everything will lead to the glory of Heaven; as St Paul tells us in this Sunday reading: “seek the things that are above, where Christ is….
Set your minds on things that are above …”
Together we will help each other to keep looking at the things “from above” and try not to dwell on things that are the “vanities of this world”. So together we will experience the joy of the path that the Lord has chosen for us. On a practical note, I will be available for anyone after the morning Masses of Tuesdays and Thursdays, as I will stay at the office of Sacred Heart Parish after those Masses.
Let us ask the Lord for many blessings on our Journey. May His Divine light shine upon us as we may become a visible sign of true Hope and Faith in our world.
God Bless, Fr Alfie

The K of C Councils in Victoria will host a major exhibit: the “Man of the Shroud” in early 2020 in Victoria.
