EURES network
• EURES (European Employment Services) - is a cooperation network created for facilitation of the free movement of workers within the European Economic Area.
• Partners of the network include public employment services, trade unions and employers' organisations.
• The network is coordinated by the European Commission.

The main objectives of EURES are
• to inform, guide and provide advice to potentially mobile workers on job opportunities as well as living and working conditions in the European Economic Area
• to assist employers wishing to recruit workers from other countries
• to provide advice and guidance to workers and employers in cross-border regions

-In the I quarter 2006 the unemployment rate was 6,4 % (ILO);
-In the I quarter 2004 the unemployment rate was 10,8% (ILO);
- Registrated unemployment rate on the 1st May 2006 was 2,1%.
-Registrated unemployment rate on the 1st May 2004 was 4,8%.
