In a few hours, I gained a lot of knowledge in chemical management for wet processing, which is a very critical part in the textile industry. The trainings are developed with real cases and field experience from Eurofins CPA experts, which give all the participants actionable take-away after the workshops.

One of the elements that make all Eurofins CPA trainings I have attended so far so interesting and useful is the practical perspective they apply in all courses. They bring to their clients very valuable “ground” knowledge.

The course on “Responsible buying practices” was great for me to get fundamental knowledge and understanding to better communicate with factories and the internal buying department. Apart from practical tips, the training also inspired me to work on a more collaborative and mutual way with my suppliers. The two hours were well spent on an interactive session with a knowledgeable trainer!

Live and Virtual TrainingChartered training can be delivered in Live or Virtual format. Both offer the same high quality of training content.

Live training is done in-person in a classroom or at sites (such as factories or branch offices), depending on clients’ requirements.

Virtual training allows participants to enjoy interactive and live learning online, skipping the hassle and limitations of travelling. At our virtual training, participants will have live teaching and QA with the tutors, ending in an online examination and digital certificate upon completion.

Environmental managementOur environmental management training targets management of consumer goods factories, suppliers, vendors, brands or retailers and Compliance/ CSR/ EHS representatives. The courses consist of lectures and interactive activities including case study discussion and a quiz to help you understand all topics more thoroughly!

This training is designed for fashion & apparel / retail buyers and merchandisers, sourcing teams, quality & CSR teams willing to start addressing the environmental risks in their supply chain and willing to identify clear priority actions that can be taken at the production sites level. This training will provide participants with a good understanding of:

• What are the environmental challenges that factories are facing?• What is the scope of an environmental audit? • What are the priorities to control the environmental impacts in a factory? • What are the common non-conformances and what are the solutions to

correct them?

Environmental Awareness

Live training: 1 day Virtual training: 6 hours with break (plus assignment)

Progressively eliminating hazardous chemicals used in the production process and ensuring a safe working environment for workers is a key priority for materials supply chains. However, many factories are struggling to implement robust chemical management systems as they lack awareness and the necessary tools to achieve the targets. In view of this, we have invested substantial effort in building this course to provide the essential tools and practical knowledge for factories to improve their chemical management implementation. This training covers:

• Factory’s chemical management system vision, as well as the managements’ roles and responsibilities

• Setting up a policy for purchasing chemicals and controlling restricted substances use

• Toolbox of the manager in charge of the Chemical Management System• Handling, storage and disposal of chemical products in the factory• Chemical incident emergency preparedness

Without robust top management commitments, clear assignment of roles and responsibilities, allocation of resources, implementation of an action plan, etc., it is challenging for factories to be on the right track to achieving environmental goals. The Environmental Management System (EMS) is the fundamental framework that helps a factory monitor its compliance with the law, manage its environmental impacts and improve its environmental performance. To help factories understand the importance of the EMS, we have created this training to enable participants to understand what the benefits and key priorities of an Environmental Management System are, and what the common environmental laws and regulations in main production countries are. The training covers:

• Introduction to the international standard for the EMS (ISO 14001)• Environmental Management System key points in terms of leadership and roles,

planning, operational controls and monitoring• Environmental laws and regulations in the main textile production countries

Environmental Management System (EMS) and Overview of Environmental Laws in Production Countries

Live training: Half dayVirtual training: 2 hours (plus assignment)

This training is designed for practitioners in production sites seeking advanced training on the key requirements for a robust ETP management system in the factory. The focus of this training is to clearly explain the core aspects of a comprehensive management system of ETP in terms of operations, documentation and operators’ skills and responsibilities. This training offers a good understanding of:

• ETP design and operations (key aspects)• ETP operators’ skills and knowledge• ETP procedures and records

Social complianceSocial compliance has become a key subject in corporate governance nowadays. Ensuring compliance to labour rights and management in the supply chain is fundamental to every responsible corporation. Our courses on social compliance are designed by industry practitioners with more than two decades of experience, providing you with an in-depth understanding of the perspective, principles and cases of this important topic.

Risks in the supply chain include undeclared sub-contracting, extreme pressure on workers to meet delivery deadlines, quality issues, and so on. In some situations, the buying practices are responsible for some of the difficulties that the suppliers face when trying to meet the buyers’ expectations, undermining social compliance at the factories. As a result, the transition towards “responsible” buying practices is becoming increasingly important as a way of supporting social compliance.

To support your company in changing its current buying practices, we have created this training to enable you to understand how to assess and challenge the current buying practices of your company, and to help buyers interpret the social and environmental requirements for factories.

Responsible Buying Practices: Toolkit to Engage Buyers and Suppliers

Live training: Half dayVirtual training: 2 hours (plus assignment)

Social audits are now widely integrated in most companies’ strategies to control the risks in their supply chains. However, it can still be challenging for buyers to get a clear understanding of the scope of such audits, even though they can play an important role in better incorporating CSR aspects in purchasing practices. The objective of our 1-day training is to offer a better understanding of what a social audit is, what are the requirements of the social audit and what are common problems faced in factories. After this training, learners will be able to read social audit reports and better interpret the level of compliance of suppliers.

Fundamental Understanding of CSR/ Social Auditing

Live training: 1 dayVirtual training: 6 hours with break

As per the Global Slavery Index report published in 2018, an estimated 40.3 million people were victims of modern slavery in 2016. Of these 40.3 million victims, 24.9 million people were in forced labour. In this context, it is fundamental for companies to have a process to detect, prevent and respond to forced labour in their supply chains. That is why we have developed a course to understand: What is modern slavery? How can it affect anybody? What are the indicators to identify it? What actions can be taken when there is a case?
