Actual Facts
Usage of natural gas as a primary energy resource will become more important in the future,
Supply and usage of natural gas will become more and more an European task and challenge,
European gas-companies are mostly acting not only in there home countries – they are more or less acting all over Europe,
European countries have different levels and standards for academic education
A. Heilmann, TUC - ITE 4European Forum Gas 2008
Objectives of the EGE
Create an aligned international education program called“European Gas Engineer“
- implement a qualified and compatible education at different European universities with a common general education and dedicated areas of specialization
- offer equal opportunities in education- receiving a synergy effect by using the core competencies of all participating
universities- aligned level of knowledge which allows also a post graduate /higher
qualificationProviding highly trained graduates / employees, on whom a potential employer can rely and knows what he gets. Offer opportunities for students and companies to execute their job anywhere in EuropeImplement a pan European “Label” for the EGE
