Established in 1987 Shannon’s Deli Meats has always embodied the principles upon which it was founded: the highest quality products, at market competitive prices, supported by exceptional customer service.At Shannon’s Deli Meats, we’re proud to live and work in a country that embraces the en-trepreneurial “can-do” spirit.In 1987, confident that Dennis Shannon could produce deli meats that were supe-rior to that of the competition while pro-viding excellent customer service, Dennis and a partner opened Briden Foods. Briden was chosen as a blend of the two founder’s names—Brian and Dennis. Early deliveries were made out of a converted ice cream truck.By 1997, Dennis purchased his partner’s shares and began to welcome his sons to the company. Sadly, after a heroic battle with cancer, Dennis passed away on June 6,

2008. Dennis never lost sight of the man he was, the ethics he lived by, and passed along those same values to his sons. Dennis was well respected in the meat industry.In Dennis’ final months he often spoke of changing the company name to Shannon’s Deli Meats, along with creating a new logo that reflected his Irish heritage. In particular, Dennis recalled an Irish label from his youth that embodied Celtic green, gold and black. It is in his honor that in January 2009 the company name was proudly changed to Shannon’s Deli Meats.At Shannon’s Deli Meats, we’re proud to be a family operated business. Dennis’ older son, Daniel Shannon, continues his father’s legacy as the VP of Operations and instills his father’s pride in the day to day operation of Shannon’s Deli Meats. Daniel’s son Michael is a third generation meat processor, also fol-lowing in his father’s footsteps.

The Future In the fall of 2012, Carolyn Shannon re-tired and sold the company to Tim and Jill Colley. The Colley family, which includes their 2 adult children Lindsay and Justin, bring to the company an “honest and ac-countable” business philosophy, which is very similar to Dennis’ model. The Colley’s bring to Shannon’s an additional USDA meat processing plant located in Phoe-nix. This plant brings additional divisions of meat processing to make the company more diversified. The Sausage/Salami, Snack Foods and Wild Game divisions have been added to broaden Shannon’s market share in the meat industry. Qual-ity and Consistency are the core goals for the company while creating a true team approach with their clients.

While proud of our legacy, all employees at Shannon’s Deli Meats recognize that ongoing success can only be achieved one customer at a time.
