Scoreboard
• A new tool in the European Semester. This scoreboard of key employment and social indicators strengthens the social dimension of the economic governance.
• The Scoreboard is a useful tool in early identification of employment and social problems and detection of divergence between Member States.
• It has been proposed by the Commission last year and agreed by all Member States in March 2014.
The EU2020 targets in the light of the European Semester
• Employment rate should be at 75% (2013: 68,3%)
• Share of early school leavers should be under 10% (2013: 11.9%)
• Goal of 40% of younger generation having tertiary degree or diploma not met (2013: 36.8%)
• 20 million fewer people at risk of poverty or social exclusion (since 2010, the number of AROPE has risen by 6 million. 24.8% of the EU-28 population)
