WelcomeTheFacultyofEconomicsandBusinessoftheUniversityofGroningenwelcomesyoutothe8thmeetingoftheEuropeanSportEconomicsAssociation!Wearelookingforwardtoafullandinterestingprogram,withkeynotesonmanagersinprofessionalsoccer,andhealth,andsessionsonavarietyoftopics.Fridaymorninghasaspecialsessiononteachingsporteconomics,sharingexperienceswillbeuseful.Conferencesareanexampleofjointproduction.Theprogramhastimeforpresentations,butalsoforquestionsanddiscussion.Wehopethatallofyouparticipateactively,andleaveonSaturdaywithmoreideasandinspirationforresearchthanwhenyoucame.Enjoytheconference!Thelocalorganizers,Thomas Peeters (Erasmus University Rotterdam), Jochen Mierau (University ofGroningen), Willem de Boer (Hogeschool Arnhem Nijmegen), and Ruud Koning(UniversityofGroningen).

Practicalities

1. ThelocationoftheconferenceonWednesdayisNoordleaseStadiumintheNoordleaseBusinessCorner(entranceoppositethetwotallflatsnexttothestadium),thelocationonThursdayandFridayisHetKasteel(seemap).

2. WalkingfromGroteMarkttoNoordleaseStadiumwillbeapproximetaly30minutes.Alternatively,bus5runsevery10minutesfromGroteMarkttostopBoumaboulevard(direction:UMCGviaHS),thebustriptakesapproximately12minutes.Asinglefareis€2(exactchangerequired).
