IPC MediaThe media institutions that may be interested in distributing my magazine are too large in number to mention all of them, however I beleive that the main media institution to distribute and market would be IPC Media.

IPC MediaThroughout my research, I went through many institutions that may be used to market and distribute my magazine, however IPC stood out as it seemed it would be able to undertake these tasks with ease, and also the way that I want my magazine to be marketed. IPC Media have a large diversity of media interests, two of these are IPC Inspire and IPC Connect. IPC also distributes NME, a well know music magazine, due to this I beleive that the unique style of my magazine would promote a good investment for the institution.

IPC MediaAs IPC is well known internationally, it would seem obvious that the within the media would be a good base to begin to advertise my magazine. Therefore my magazine would gain more publicity in other magazines, and also on television in adverts (etc.)

IPC Media also owns NME magazine which will be beneficial as this shows that the institution has experience with magazines and also the fact that there would be an easy access to advertise my magazinethrough their own.

IPC Media utilizes its own advertisement techniques to advertise its own products, thus having this synergy of the marketing and advertisement coming from the same institution, would provide a stable marketing base, as my product would be promoted within IPC’s magazines, television adverts, and websites.

IPC MediaThe divisions of IPC Media is a huge force of horizontal integration, this will allow for my product to be marketed on cross platforms. In a technical convergence sense, an example would beSmartphones which would encourage the development of an app for your production, andthe audience are digital natives so this would be appropriate. Time Warner is the parent of IPC Media which is especially interesting due to the fact that my artist’s would be successfully advertised through the use of Music Videos, Music Albums, TV, Mobile Adverts, DVD’s and Music Sale. This will in turn help to sell my magazine which will be due to the exclusive interviews of my artist are held by my magazine. This will in turn increase my magazines fame, rating and sales.

Pro’s and ConsWith IPC Media as my main marketing source in the release of my magazine, this will allow for various benefits and drawbacks:

ADVANTAGES DISADVANTAGES

- This would allow my product to be advertised on various media platforms which will create more awareness of my product over a larger range of advertisement techniques.

- Also this would give me the reputation of a large corporation, thus promoting a good reputation of my own magazine.

- The institution would however remove my own power when deciding what type of advertisement techniques will be used.

- However, also included as a drawback would be that my magazine would not be considered to be unique, however it would be considered a more mainstream branded product as it will be distributed by such a large institution.
