Evaluation

I did a news report about the death of well-known nursery rhyme character Humpty Dumpty. It starts off with Charlie as the main anchor man in the newsroom. He introduces the story and then passes it on to me, the reporter. I briefly talk about the death of Humpty Dumpty and then interview a friend of the victim, Mischa. Next there is a time lapse of people in a city with some key points appearing on the screen. At the same time there is also a voice over of me talking about crime in Ringwood. Then it goes back to Charlie in the newsroom who finishes the programme.

One strength of it is the way it flows together well and gives an effect of a news programme. It is also good because the introductory sequence that I made. I think it makes it seem more like a commonly seen news programme.

But a negative point of the programme is that sometimes, especially when outside, it is difficult to clearly hear and understand what is being said. This is due to the wind on the day of recording.

Ultimately, I think that the news programme is good and portrays a similar video to a real news report.
