Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learned in the progression

from it to the full product?

Preliminary Task• Working in a group made me realize that I wanted to have total

control over the creation of my film opening due to the different directions that the group wanted to go.

• I have noticed some issues with match on action that leave transitions between shots feeling unnatural. The attempt to avoid this left the shot lengths too long and made the pace of the scene slower as a result.

• The conversation does a good job at using the 180 degree rule but does a bad job at matching the audio between transitions due to the way in which the scene was filmed.

• Due to the errors made in the preliminary task, I have changed my approach to filming in an effort to have seamless transitions between shots and dialogue that matches in different angles of a conversation.
