WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?

I have never used Photoshop before so I was a complete beginner. The first thing we did was get the font we liked into our Photoshop document. Here I learnt how to use the magic wand tool to remove all block background colour. Here we made the font our own, I learnt how to colour overlay the font to allow it to fit to my colour scheme. This allowed me to chose my colour and I learnt each shade had a different HTML code allowing me to keep all of the colours the exact same shade. I also learned how to add a stroke to my font making it stand out more with different colours and thick black lines. Using Photoshop also allowed me to learn about how I can space my all of the parts on my cover and contents page as it makes it much easier.

I used different online software’s to allow me to embed documents into my blog. I used programmes such as Prezi, Emaze and Slideshare. I learnt how to upload my documents to the cloud and then through these programs I learnt how to embed these documents into my blog.

Online software's

BloggerThis was my first time using blogger but I quickly gained the knowledge on how to use it effectively. I learnt that it has a very similar format to Gmail and Google docs, which I use often. But the main thing I learnt was how to embed documents after I had found the embedded code on the different online documents. Also I learnt how to organise the blog and make sure all is in order. Using the blog helped to also teach me to keep my work in order and well filed to make finding what I needed far easier.

I have of course taken photos on my phone and digital cameras before but I have never used more premium higher quality cameras. Here I learnt how to look at what I am about to take a picture and make sure that my shot is realised. These cameras allowed me to take higher quality photos for my magazine cover to keep up the quality. I learnt how to use these more complicated cameras and I learnt skills such as; keeping the camera in focus, making sure the shot was steady and there was no blur, taking an accurate shot of what I wanted for my cover and making sure all I wanted in the shot was in the shot. I also learnt how to get my photos off of my iPhone and off the camera. This was not to difficult of a task so I managed to do it quite easily.

These different tasks were fairly individual so it helped me learn how to time keep better, making sure that all of my tasks were done on time and were up to the standard that I wanted to keep. When taking the pictures I learnt to make sure to take as many in the time we had as then I am likely to have multiple photos which I am happy to use. This all comes under time management as the more time you have perfecting the cover and evaluation the better. This helped me over all to make sure that all of my work was completed and well kept to the quality I wanted.
