My intentions when taking the photo:My initial intentions were to have the model in between a door and a brick wall. I wanted this due to many other magazines having brick wall backgrounds. I wanted to be different and original. The line down the middle could also represent a difference in articles on each side. How the final image fulfils my intentions: The final image fulfils my intentions due to the model being framed perfectly. The model is in the middle of the image which i was looking for and the model is giving direct address, to attract attention. How is the image appropriate for the front cover of a teenage lifestyle magazine? The photo is appropriate for my front cover due to a lot of the clothing in the image is shown, and for my intentions to be fulfilled I couldn't have a long shot of the model. So with the close up it really does allow the audience to see what the magazine is about. The meaning created in the image:The meaning that is created within the image is that fashion doesn’t end with just being in the public, you can be fashionable anywhere you want to be. And with the background being what it is I think this message has been put across very well.

How well the combination of image and text works:The combination of image and text works due to them both being the same colours. This allows the audience to recognise both the text and the image within this photo. Both of them being the same colour allows the audience to see one and then see the other straight away. The meaning created: The meaning I have created within this image is that you being fashionable doesn’t ever end. Even when you are in the comfort of your own home you can still look fashionable. You do not have to only look fashionable when you are in public. How is this appropriate to your target audience? This is appropriate to my target audience due to the model being the same age as the target audience. The model will see the model and what she is wearing and enjoy the Fashion Spread because of this. How does this fulfil your intentions? The final photo fulfils my intentions due to the model taking up the majority of the spread. The model takes up the majority of the space because the location is not really that important. This means that it is mainly the outfit and the model which are important for the audience to look at within this spread.

My intentions when taking the photo:My initial intentions were to have the model not looking at the camera, have the model trying to look as casual as possible as if they were there by chance and I had taken the photo. The only two things I wanted them to do was not look at the camera and have one of their feet up on the wall. How the final image fulfils my intentions: The final image fulfils my intentions due to the model genuinely looking like they were stood at the wall for their own pleasure. The photo has a grunge feeling to it due to all the dusty looking colours which turned out very well for my photo. How is the image appropriate for the front cover of a teenage lifestyle magazine? The photo is appropriate for my front cover due to the model’s framing in the cover. The model is not really the centre of the attention when you first look at it as the model is more to the side of the shot. This makes the audience go looking for the model which will attract attention from the audience. The meaning created in the image:The meaning that is created within the image is that even when you don’t mean it, you can still look fashionable with what you do in your day to day life. I tried to make this photo look un-staged as possible. Creating the scene that I took this photo not as a photoshoot and the audience can replicate this in their lives.

How well the combination of image and text works:The combination of image and text works due to the grunge and dusty look the photo has. It allows the model and the green leaves in the background to stand out more. This works perfectly for the audience to have to go find the model within the photo. The meaning created: The meaning I have created within this image is again, you don’t need to put effort into looking fashionable when wearing similar outfits to the ones that feature in the magazine, this will make the audience want to read the magazine. How is this appropriate to your target audience? This is appropriate to my target audience due the model having an outfit many of the audience do wear when they are looking as fashionable. Which would give the audience a sense of agreement with the model's outfit. Attracting attention. How does this fulfil your intentions? The final photo fulfils my intentions due to the model and the whole photo looking great. The font allows the model to still be the centre of attention but also the green leaves behind the model allows the model to almost stand out a little more due to the positioning of the model.

My intentions when taking the photo:My initial intentions were to have the model looking as posed and un-natural as they can look. With the model having direct address and also the longshot really does allow the model’s full outfit to stand out to the audience allowing them to take it all in at once. How the final image fulfils my intentions: The final image fulfils my intentions due to the model’s outfit being shown off, all of it. In some of my other covers not all of the outfit is shown to the audience so this one really does allow the audience to take it all of the information that is given to them from this cover. How is the image appropriate for the front cover of a teenage lifestyle magazine? The photo is appropriate for my front cover due to the model being shown off in a longshot, you would not be able to see the model from a distance away from looking at it, the audience would have to physically get closer to it. The meaning created in the image:The meaning that is created within the image is that fashion is not based on what other people like (shown through the lack of humanity throughout the photo). Fashion is about what you like wearing and not others so this photo really does show this off.

How well the combination of image and text works:The combination of image and text works due to the bright green colours and the lack of green on the log. With the text being green and the majority of the photo being green it allows the audience’s attention to be dragged to the log where the model is sat.The meaning created: The meaning that is created within the image is that fashion is not based on what other people like (shown through the lack of humanity throughout the photo). Fashion is about what you like wearing and not others so this photo really does show this off. How is this appropriate to your target audience? This is appropriate to my target audience due the outfit of what the model is wearing is being fully shown off. This does allow the audience to see that the cover is about fashion and you can see this on how the model is looking and is positioned looking at the camera. How does this fulfil your intentions? The final photo fulfils my intentions due tthe colours of the photo standing out the audience which then allows the audience’s attention to be dragged to where the model is sat which then allows the audience to see the model. The model being the focal point within the image really does allow the green leaves to play such a big part in the photo.
